Supperessed

In identifying the challenges we face as we move into life together with Christ, I have a real sense that we will learn to eat meals together in order to learn from each other. A meal initiates a long conversation. It builds on the flavour of the food and overflows with the character of the people. If there is synergy, then the end is so hard to get to. I had a conversation like this as we sat at Col Caccio’s(sp) in Camps bay and enjoyed superb pizza’s with our friends Seton Mary and Tess Bailey. We shared conversation about all sorts of issues, but mostly the way forward for the church and the world – an ability to listen again and build on each others wisdom. A freedom from conversion to conversation. Isn’t it amazing how close these words are and yet how badly the former has abused society. Come closer around a meal and don’t allow supper to become supperessed !
