Church – people or position ?

Most of what church is today seems to be far removed from the ecclesia (people) and is now about position and popularity. We go to church to get and not to be. The origin of church was community. Just put your head into any church today and we’lll make a fuss of you at the door and then give you a bun and a free coffee if you are lucky but then it ends there.
Surely the church is about community and what it means to really care. Most churches have lost this simple Jesus model and have become about position as opposed to people. Jesus is always about people, not position ! Love and peace Peter Veysie.
